No feet game

Have your kids try basic tasks such as picking things up and opening a door just with their feet. Watching them laugh in hysterics while they try drawing and painting as well! They’ll definitely enjoy seeing their own feet-art!

Go to a play centre

A clean, spacious and imaginative indoor play centre can be a great excuse to run around like a crazy person. Here are some indoor play centres in Melbourne that have been suggested by our teammates:

  • TunzaFun Xtreme, Wantirna South
  • Play Central, Port Melbourne
  • Rabbit Hole, Braybrook
  • Funtopia, Maribyrnong

Trampoline parks

Muscle control and coordination are just some of the thing’s kids can develop from jumping around at a trampoline park. As they learn to move their bodies in the air, they also develop their overall physicality. Skills such as aerial awareness are crucial for other sports like skiing or snowboarding.

Jumping on trampolines is fun and improves their body, strengthening and lengthening muscles and refining flexibility. Moreover, kids improve their posture as they become more aware of their centre of gravity.

Headstand competitions

A great activity for your core muscles and to get the blood going to the brain. You'll find kids are often naturals!

Scavenger hunt

Writing your own scavenger hunt clues can be a lot of fun, especially when you vary the types of clues you create throughout the hunt. Write up clues and hide them around the apartment. Kids can race to find each clue for a small prize at the end.

Go to a local swimming pool

For a cost effective activity, there are actually many luxurious publicly accessible swimming pools in Melbourne just waiting for you to glide into their cool, blue waters — either for exercise, play or to just plain cool down. Make sure you bring some games, balls, floaties and sunscreen! You could be here all day…

It’s recommended that children participate in at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity every day. If you’re looking to encourage your youngster to exercise every day, consider enrolling them into a Kelly Sports programme!
