FAQ: Parents & Kids
Q1. How do I know that my child will enjoy Kelly Sports?
With over 22,000 children currently participating in our programmes every week, we are confident that your child will have a blast. Kelly Sports will inspire your child to give sports a go as our coaches show your children how to catch a ball in cricket, pass a ball in soccer or cheer for their teammates as they battle it out in one of our many games and activities.
Q3. Do Kelly Sports only offer after school programmes?
Kelly Sports offers a fantastic range of activities both inside and outside of the school curriculum including: Sport Days, Social Sports leagues, Holiday programmes and Birthday parties. Sit back, relax and let Kelly Sports take care of your children.
Q5. Where do your coaches come from?
Kelly Sports coaches come from a diverse range of backgrounds and all have a keen interest in sport. All coaches undergo comprehensive training before becoming a qualified Kelly Sports coach. All our coaches are police vetted and AASC trained to ensure our classes are held in a safe and friendly environment.
Q6. What happens if it's raining?
All Kelly Sport coaches are trained in Extreme and Adverse Weather Programmes. This ensures that all Kelly Sports Sessions will be running even if it is raining. Sometimes though, we do not have access to a wet weather facility and are unable to run the clinics. In this case parents will be advised on the day of the programme to let them know that the programme won’t be going ahead.
Q7. How do my children know where to meet?
On the first day, children generally meet the coach at a pre-arranged location (usually the school office). Coaches will then advise children where they are to meet for the following week’s session. Parents are also encouraged to bring their children along to their first session to familiarise their child with the coach and the other children in the group.
